Description

My second night at Atacama did not look promising -- low, thin clouds filled the evening sky.  But as night set in, I could still see plenty of stars and so was able to get in a few targets.

Centaurus A is an unusual looking galaxy -- kind of an elliptical glowing blob with a huge dust cloud cutting across its middle, along which you can see hints of hydrogen and oxygen emitting nebulae.
