Description

his picture of SH 2-275, the Rosette Nebula, was taken on 6. December 2019. It contains a large and bright emission nebula in the constellation of Monoceros. It's 130 light-years across, "only" 5200 light-years away and its apparent size on the sky is roughly 5 times the size of the full moon! It's huge! 😁 In the middle of the nebula, there's a hollow area that contains the open star cluster NGC 2244. The stars of this cluster have formed from the gas clouds in the center of the nebula and sucked all the surrounding gas and material to start their fusion process 😮 This is amazing!
