This is a picture of NGC 4038/39 the famous antenna galaxies. They are located in the constellation of Corvus at a declination of ar. -19 Deg. The size is 5 and 3 arcmin.
From my central european location this is a target extremly in the south. On 3 nights in April I tried to capture them. The scope was almost horizontal just about the wall of my telescop housing. For C11 and f 2000 mm thats a real challenge. I used an UHC filter against the haze at the horizon. Hope you enjoy the picture.
