Description

Here's my (almost) full moon project of the Pelican Nebula.

The excellent image of the Pelican with eyelashes and its description by @Ruediger made me read a bit about the Herbig Haro objects within IC5070. So I found that the jets produced by the spiraling matter around a proto- or new born star collide with interstellar dust and gas which can result in a shock front.

You can almost begin to see the shock wave in the image. In Revision B you can see a crop of Herbig Haro 555 with the front highlighted. A mouse over gives a monochrome negative making it easier visible. If you want to see this more cleary, have a look at Ruediger's deep exposure linked above.

For sure, my image doesn't do the object justice, but as long as I can image stuff like this during a full moon, I am fine
