Description

The Leo Triplet (also known as the M66 Group) is a small group of galaxies about 35 million light-years away in the constellation Leo. This galaxy group consists of the spiral galaxies M65, M66, and NGC 3628.

The Leo Triplet, with M65 (right top), M66 (right bottom) and NGC 3628 (left). North is to the left.

Here are the acquisition details:

Telescope: Celestron 14” Edge HD

Camera: ZWO ASI 071 MC – Color Camera

Reducer: Starizona Hyperstar (will make C14 into F2 Hi-Speed System)

Filters: Baader IR/UV Cut Filter, Optolong L-enhance filter

Baader IR/UV – 292 frames X 30 Seconds = 2.43 hours with Gain 0 (Highest Dynamic Range)

Optolong L-Enhance – 30 frames X 120 Seconds = 1 hour with Unity Gain i.e. Gain 90 Offset 21

Stacked above separately in Pixinsight and Combined them in PI as well.
