Description

I took this photograph in five nights between the end of July and the beginning of August 2022.

Barnard 150 (B150) is a dark nebula, and is one of the gems that the Cepheus constellation offers to the northern terrestrial hemisphere observers. B150 is also known as the Seahorse Nebula due to its shape, or LDN1082.
The dust nebula covers about 1° of angular dimension and it is formed by three dense cores. Some citizen authors state an estimated distance of 1200 ly for B150, but I could not find the scientific source of this piece of information. If this evaluation is correct, the nebula width should be 21ly.
