Description

Sh2-188 is a planetary nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia.
Although included in the Sharpless Catalog, it is actually a planetary nebula, located 711 light-years away from the Solar System.
It appears as a well-marked envelope on one side and very dispersed on the other, where it appears to have already dissolved.
Through its speed of expansion an age of about 7500 years has been determined. Although its appearance resembles a supernova remnant, this possibility has been ruled out due to the nature of its emissions (info from Wikipedia)

For the nebula itself I used the HaOIII combination, while RGB was used only for the stars.
My initial idea was to try to reveal even the faintest parts of the nebula, but during the processing I realized that I had underestimated their brightness and the collected frames did not allow them to be adequately detached from the sky background.
But I'm still quite happy with the end result :-)
