Description

NGC1760 is a rather complex emission nebula in the LMC. Within it is NGC1761 which is a cluster of 50 young, super bright blue stars which are considered to be some of the largest in the universe. In fact, this region of the LMC is one of the largest star forming areas of the LMC and is second only to the famous Tarantula nebula. This image is 3 channel variant of the HOO blend using Sii to emphasise the red and to balance the star colour a little more. I very much want to get more data but it's such an interesting area, i thought i would share it.
