Description

My first attempt at a planetary animation.

Our extremely varied seeing conditions made this a challenge.

I shot 2.45 million frames, approximately 74,220 per exposure, and used the best 5000 of each run. I discarded some shots from early in the evening because the seeing lower in the sky was too bad to make for a good image.

The net duration is 3 hours and 20 minutes.

Using the automation and auto-alignment in Firecapture was life-saving! Mad props to the developer , Torsten, for his efforts on this software!
