Description

Abell 25 (PK224.3+15.3) is an almost never imaged planetary nebula in Monoceros. This is only the third image on Astrobin. Abell25 is a medium sized Abell, measuring only 2.8 arc minutes and has a magnitude listed at 15.4. There is only a hint of it on the RGB image. The Ha is quite a bit weaker than the Oiii, and both appear to have the same distribution, a somewhat bi-polar shape. The tiny central blue progenitor star is prominent.
