Description

I took 40 images of 20 seconds each, at f/4 and ISO 800 with a Canon EOS 6D and Canon 300mm f/4 lens this morning between 3h50 and 4h25 (Paris hour). The images have been taken with an equatorial mount in order to compensate the rotation of the earth. The image resulting is a stack of the 40 images. I did another image without tracking in order to have a sharp foreground. The ion tail is mostly blue because of the ionized carbon monoxide, but there is also a faint red color (not an artifact) but I don't know the reason.
