Description

IC 342 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation of Camelopardalis. From our point of view, it is a large galaxy with apparent dimensions of 21.4 x 20.9 arc minutes and an apparent magnitude of 9.1. It lies near the galactic equator where obscuring dust dims its light, about 11 million light years away.

Exposure: Luminance: 77x10 minutes, R:48x8 min G:45x7 min B:46x10 min all unbinned for a total of 32 hours 216 subs at an average of 536 sec each

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing using Photoshop.
