Description

Unfortunately my imaging session was interrupted by a dying battery so I could only acquire 26 light subs. Clouds have stopped me from acquiring more data since so I decided to process what I had. I acquired calibration frames (a first for me) the next morning. I used an ice pack to get the sensor temp for the darks down to within 1 degree centigrade of the lights which were acquired at 25 degrees C - uncooled DSLR I stacked the lights calibrated and uncalibrated to see what the difference would be and it made a huge improvement in the image I started with - so I am converted. I will take the darks immediately after the lights in future. My next challenge is to get guiding working...

Description: I have discovered the Dark nebula enhance feature in PI which brought out the central dark nebulas quite nicely, I think.
