Description

"The region is about 30 lightyears across, and is located in the Monoceros constellation about 2,600 lightyears from Earth, not far in the sky from the Orion constellation.
Astronomer William Herschel discovered the cluster itself in January 1784, and then went on to locate a section of the glowing cloud about two years later at Christmas time.
The bright star at the top of the ‘tree’ is a massive multiple star system that emerged from within the gas and dust a few million years ago, while the dark patch at the bottom of the image is the Cone Nebula itself."  https://www.skyatnightmagazine.com/space-science/christmas-tree-cluster-ngc-2264/

This is a first job done quickly this last week of Christmas on this beautiful Cluster of nebulae with the aim of celebrating the end of this year with this project that we have had pending for a long time.

I must say that we were impressed to see how these nebulae spread throughout the space of this area, since most of the images are concentrated in the iconic Cone.

In this work, the two normal RGB stacks obtained from the two programs were assembled, and one other stack was made to obtain the Ha and OIII but only the Ha was used as luminance in the mixture of the two stacks.

Very satisfied to have achieved this nebula done and thanking you for your sight to see the image, we wish all the Astrophotographers of the Astrobin community a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2022
