Description

I captured this image on Saturday night, taking advantage of the longer night hours and taking a break from imaging over several nights. Hence the choice of skipping the SII filter this time.

I am still having some issues with the stars around the corner, a 0.5mm change in spacing is making a difference between too far and too close. I might need to try smaller spacings. I also seem to have some tilt? But I will live with both issues for now.

The North America Nebula is large, covering an area of more than four times the size of the full moon. Separated by a dark cloud of obscuring dust, North America and Pelican nebulae are about 1,600 light-years away. It is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, close to Deneb (the tail directly translated from Arabic, and in this case, the tail of the swan).

I hope you like my NGC7000 version in HOO, comments and feedback are always appreciated.

Clear Skies!
