Description

This was a quick image I put together when my last image IC410 was too low to image and I still had 3 hours of dark left and no moon. I picked something I could image in one quick run, what better than a globular cluster!

This cluster is one of the largest and brightest, and is made up of around 500,000 stars. It is estimated to be 11.4 billion years old. It is centred about 33,900 light-years away from Earth.

Broadband stars still give me trouble in the post processing of my images. Always struggle to get stars with vibrant color and nice contrast. I will keep working on it and maybe on day figure it out!
