Description

Well I cannot go to my observatory 100 km from my home in Amiens these days. Recently I bought a Fuji X-T30 for my day to day photos.

I just had the idea to put the camera on the kitchen window board in may flat in Amiens (Northern France) and took three 10 s RAW pictures (3200 ISO, 35 mm) .After that alignment and integration made in Pixinsight which to my big surprise handled this by providing a full color picture without any debayering (this is done in the RAW module of PI ??). Small histogram and curves adustment to minimize the red halo of the city (I am in the center of the city !) and small deconvolution of the stars. That's it !

I am a bit amazed. Almost too easy ;-). I think I will invest in a skyguider mount to shoot pictures under the dark sky in Normandy where my observatory is.

Enjoy Orion, the terrible hunter which dominates our winter skies.
