Mars opposition 2020 is coming soon!
A wonderful night lies behind me, it wasn't clear all night, but the clouds that moved through the picture weren't too bad ...
In addition, I was able to observe a rainbow / halo around the moon for the first time, unfortunately the DSLR was not ready for a photo ... But it was very impressive!
To the animation:
The telescope has a focal length of 2400mm with 2x Barlow ... I would prefer a C14 but unfortunately that is currently out of my budget
A total of 67 recordings with 30000 frames each are processed, not all batches are clear, but all are used.
In total, that's over 200 GB of data ... scary.
I am very happy that you can see some structures.
At the end of the night I could perceive very nice contrasts on the surface with free eyes.
Unfortunately, that was not possible during the last opposition because the planet was also a lot lower altitude.
