This image was acquired on May 13, 2020. From our perspective on Earth, Venus is quickly catching up with us and will "pass by" our planet on June 3rd. Between now and then, the "Evening Star" will become less and less illuminated until it disappears from our sky in late May. It will reemerge as the "Morning Star" around the middle of June.
