Description

Well, when you look at this one you can tell I am getting down to the bottom of the Sharpless2 list, yet it is a very interesting object.

Sh 2-182 appears to be associated with the infrared source IRAS 00470+6429 which is a protoplanetary nebula.[1]

This appears to be a reflection nebula of unknown distance. The CO detected by Blitz et.al. 1982 may not be associated with this object. [2]

Avedisova suggests that Sh 2-182 is ionised by the B3 Ia supergiant HD 4694.

More recent studies, however, conclude that Sh 2-182 appears to be a reflection nebula (not an HII region) and may be associated with the infrared source and protoplanetary nebula IRAS 00470+6429.

IMHO this is emission since the only real signal I got was HA.
