Description

M3 is a well studied globular cluster with a high amount of variable stars and is considered metal-rich. The light of ~500000 stars began its journey in the Weichselian glaciation. The age is estimated to be 11 billion years. It was also the first Messier object that was discovered by Charles Messier himself.
