Description

Another Sharpless2 object seen in the context of stretching optimized with GHS.  There is some O-III in the target but weather has gone south for me and I am not sure I will be able to get enough this year.

GHS Forum Discussion

This current image is much more detailed than my CCD version.

Sh2 221

Basic combination done with Alex Woronow's NB Assistant.  Just used this for the Star color.  Ha stretched with GHS separately.

RGB Stars-to-Narrowband Transfer using PixelMath - V11 by Bill Blanshan.

From GalaxyMap:

This prominent supernova remnant, better known as HB9 (SNR G160.4+02.8), is visible both at hydrogen alpha and radio frequencies.

It is incorrectly listed by SIMBAD as an HII region.

GENERAL NOTE ON SHARPLESS2 OBJECTS>>>>>>>>>>>>>
