Description

The Iris Nebula is a reflection nebula in Cepheus. It is 1,300 light years away and is 6 light years across. The nebula is caused by a hot young star pushing gases creating the cosmic dust.

DVB 141 The Ghost Nebula is an area of dust caused by young star formations heating up the dust around them forming some interesting ghostly figures... If you look left center of the image you will see a flying ghost, and below, there are two "ghosts" waving at the flying ghost! This area of the night sky really amazes me!

I imaged both of these targets last year with a scope/ camera config. that could only capure one target at a time because of the narrow field. I wanted to use the Hyperstar system to capture all of this amazing area of the night sky in one image. I plan on getting more data next time out at the dark site. Seeing 7/10. Mike
