After 2 months straight of cloudy nights in Central Florida, the skies finally cleared allowing me to finish up this image! The "Witch's Broom" is part of the larger Veil Nebula in Cygnus, a supernova remnant 1400 light-years away.

Imaging from a suburban driveway underneath a streetlight presents challenges. To work around the heavy light pollution, I created a synthetic RGB image from narrowband filters, and combined it with real star colors acquired with RGB wideband filters. A total of 8.3 hours of exposure time went into this (6.8 hours from narrowband)
