Description

Messier 94 is a spiral galaxy some 17 million light years away in the constellation of Canes Venatici. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain on 22 March 1781.

Messier 94 was photographed between 29 December 2019 and 17 February 2020 from a rig in Spain that is privately owned and operated by Barry Wilson and me.

Capture details are as follows:

Telescope: TEC 140

Camera: QSI 690

Filters: Astrodon

Mount: 10 Micron GM2000HPS

Lum: 51 x 600s

Lum: 24 x 300s

Red: 36 x 300s

Green 36 x 300s

Blue: 36 x 300s

A total of 19 hours and 30 minutes exposure.
