Description

25,000 LY from earth, the Great Northern Globular in Hercules makes a fine sight in an eyepiece, and is visible in a dark sky at magnitude 5.8. Imaging shows the full extent of the 100,000 stars and brings the colour alive.

Imaged at bin 2x2 using my Altair 183C and Zenithstar 80 II ED semi-APO, 15s unguided exposures provided a reasonable image, my last from this trip North - twa' guid nachts and braw days.
