Description

With only limited time again for imaging before the clouds and rain rolled in, I decided to keep to my recent trend of photographing open clusters and chose Caroline’s Rose.

NGC7789 had just crossed the meridian when I started imaging and was nearly opposite a waxing gibbous moon (94% illumination).

I commenced imaging with the Chroma Blue filter working my way through Luminance, Green then finally Red as it moved lower in the night sky. RGB were binned 2x2 with 20 frames for each being captured. Luminance was binned at 1x1 with 10 frames taken. Exposure times for RGB and Luminance were 120 and 60 seconds respectively.

Calibrated using flats and dark flats captured the following morning and darks from my dark library (50 frames each).
