Description

SH2-136-vdB 141 is a reflection nebula located about 1200 Ly's away in the constellation Cepheus. It is approximately 2 Ly's across. Several stars are embedded in the nebula giving it it's brown ghoulish color. The dark cloud on the right side of the nebula contains Bok globule CB 230 which is likely collapsing into the formation of a binary star system.
