Description

NGC 1491 is situated in the constellation Perseus about 11000 ly away.. It is also known as LBN 704/705 or sharpless 206. There is an 11th magnitude blue star (BD +50 886) in its center that produces a bubble with strong stellar winds that is open to the east.

The nebuloa complex is glowing in the red and blue colors of ionized Hydrogen (Ha) and Oyxygen (OIII) . This is an HOO-RGB composit.
