Description

SH2-230, First light on the new telescope.Sharpless2-230Finished project
This nebula is very a large nebula complex, contains Sharpless 2-229/IC 405, The Flaming Star nebula, SH2-236/IC410 The Tadpoles nebula,SH2-247 The Fly nebula and SH2-234/ IC 417 The Spider nebula.
As a bonus to the Sharpless objects the open cluster M38 is to find it the lower right hand corner of the image
Taken over  two nights  in January 2023
First revision:
Not many clear night skies in this part of the world lately, but I got 1,5 h to test the scope January 11.
What I got in 1h 36 min, at F3,9 looks promising, but the test revealed that I have to adjust a camera sensor tilt , (27%.measured in Astap), probably caused by the spacers I used to connect the Starizona filter slider on to the focal reducer.
If you do some pixel peeping you can see most of the tilt in the  left hand side of the image.
I did the integration process in both PixInsight and Astro Pixel Processor to see if it by any chance could be a software related issue, but the result
was almost the same in both programs.
However, the stars actually came out slightly better in PI, but not a significant difference.
I will use this project to try to correct the camera sensor tilt, and add some more hours of integration time to this image.
