Description

IC 405 (also known as the Flaming Star Nebula) is an emission/reflection nebula in the constellation Auriga, surrounding the bluish star AE Aurigae. It is located approximately 1,500 light-years from Earth.

This is an HaRGB image shot from my yard in Marietta, Georgia during February 2016. 20 hours of total integration time through Astrodon Ha (5nm), and Astrodon RBG filters. Ha sub-exposures were 20 minutes each and RGB exposures were 8 minutes each.
