Description

This beautiful and colorful region in the constellation Scorpio culminates at only 12 degrees for me. Fortunately, there is a great observation point just a few kilometers away that is high enough to keep the surrounding diffuse light in the valleys while allowing almost a complete panoramic view all the way to the horizon. Then in early June there were very clear and dry skies, so I set out with my travel gear to try my luck at the Antares region. I am very happy that even structures in the dark nebulae are recognizable. Considering that only an OSC camera was used, I am more than satisfied with the result! :-)
