Description

In the top left of the picture we see NGC 7331 magnitude +10,4 belonging to the “Deer Lick Group”. This galaxy is the brightest one of the group at a distance of 40 million lightyears with a diameter of 120.000 lightyears. The other background galaxies NGC 7335, 7336, 7337 and 7340 are at a distance of 300-360 million lightyear referred to as “The Flies” with a magnitude of 13,8 – 14,6.

At the top right of the picture we can see “Stephan’s Quintet”.

The galaxy NGC 7230 is on a distance of 39 million lightyears.

In the background we have the galaxies NGC 7310. 7318 and 7319 at a distance of 300 million lightyears with a magnitude of 13,9-14,6.
