Description

NGC6752 makes up the tail of the Peacock asterism and is located in the deep south Pavo constellation. Around 13,000 light years from Earth and calculated to be 11.78 billion years old! Interesting also is that it is pretty close to being hafway between Earth and the centre of our Milky Way galaxy.

It is the third brightest globular cluster in the night sky after Omega Centauri and Tuc47. It is a cluster full of colours in a rich star field.

1.5 hours each of Red, Green and Blue filters through a TS Photoline 80mm triplet refractor on a Skywatcher HEQ5 Pro guided with PHD2 and a 50mm acromatic refractor and web cam. Captured with Sequence Generator Pro and Processed in Pixinsight.

A pseudo lumininance was creted from the RGB Master and deconvolved then merged once again with the RGB master. All processing was performed in Pixinsight. Captured using SGP Pro in a farm cottage garden near Carngham, south Victoria Australia.
