Description

A 'middle-of-the-road' galaxy, NGC-2403 is neither the smallest, nor the largest of galactic systems at roughly 50,000 light years in diameter. It resides some 8 million light years away in the northern constellation of Camelopardalis, and has been compared to M-33 in Triangulum in appearance. The H-II regions in the system are very prominent in images, and the galaxy has sported two supernovae in the recent past.
