Description

At the end of the night the conditions were favorable to image once again (and not the last I hope!) this beautiful planet.

I was able to integrate a little more data than for my previous images, which allowed me to significantly reduce the noise.

The image shows in the central position a vast dark region, Terra Cimeria, which stretches for nearly 5400 km. It is bordered to the west by Tyrrhena Terra and to the east by Terra Sirenum.

Under the northern polar cap, an intense blue (I was very surprised by this bright color and its extent that contrasts with the SPC), extends Elysium Planitia.

Technically, this is an LIRGB image made from 5 videos of 2 minutes per channel (from 01:59 UT to 02:36 UT) or 36 minutes of derotation.

I have retained 10500 images out of a total of 150,000.

The luminance was achieved by retaining 40% of the IR channel and processing under WinJupos.
