Description

Motch Werner Pakull 1 in Cygnus is one of the oldest and largest planetary nebulae known. It is approximately 150, 000 years old and spans 13'x9'of sky at 15 light years across. The central star may be a binary system, producing the bipolar structure. This one is quite faint, so is rarely imaged.
