Description

NGC7008 is a small planetary nebula, so called "Fetus Nebula" about 1 light year wide. The apparent diameter barely exceeds 1' which makes it quite difficult to image with standard amateur instruments.

Picture realized at the Astroqueyras observatory nearby Saint Véran (France) during a mission of the CALA (Club Astronomie Lyon Ampère, Lyon, France) organized by Christian Hennes.

Astroqueyras is an association of amateur astronomers who can perform short missions with one of the three big telescopes at 2936 m altitude in the French Alpes.
