Description

For half of the 2 hour darkness the sky was hazy due to high clouds on June 12th. I tried to get some additional data on the 26th but it was hazy as well and the seeing was worse so I tossed the subs and left the integration as is.

The Ring Nebula is bright but small. No strong stretching is neccessary if not going for the very faint round veil surrounding it (or enhancing the small galaxy next to it). Despite being so small I decided to go for it with my setup as I remember it being one of my first fainter DSOs I was able to find with a telescope in pre-GoTo times as it is so easy to find. Just move the scope from b to y Lyr or vice versa. Being able to see it as a ring was quite thrilling.

My available time for astrophotography will be restricted in future, but I surely won´t give up this amazing hobby!
