Description

M63 taken from my backyard with Vixen R200SS. I carefully stretched the image using a combination of HistoTrans and ArcsinhStretch to avoid the pink burning of the star cores. Stretching was done in several steps (7-8). This helped to work out the fine details.
The colour saturation was increased with Saturation in CurvesTransformation. This came out with a quite yellow looking galaxy with no signs of the blue stars in the outer parts

Description: In the later version I slightly stretched the blue channel in CurvesTransformation. Then I increased the saturation using chrominance instead of saturation. This helped to work out the blue young stars at the edge of the galaxy. I hope you like it Clear skies!

Description: Newly processed with improved DBE, better fitting galaxy masks and less noise reduction in the linear state. This preserved many of the fine structures in the galaxy. I enhanced the blue stars by ChannelExtraction, stretching the blue channel with CurvesTransformation and finally recombination to RGB with ChannelCombination. Still learning PixInsight ... I hope you like it
