Description

The picturesque dark nebula LDN 673 from Lynd's Catalog of Drak Nebulae in the constellation Aquila. Light from objects behind is obscured by interstallar dust in the galactic plane. LDN 673 looks like the chinese letter representing "wave" or "surge" (of stars). The effect of extinction, particularly, of short wave lengths also leads to the golden color of stars of the inner spiral arm of our Milky Way.
