Description

I imaged this over the course of seven weeks. As I waited for my primary targets to rise above the tree line I would capture an hour or two at a time.

Recently I imaged Polaris and was amazed at how much dust is in the polar region. I decided to capture another area that I found interesting. Not far from the pole, this scene is a snapshot of the dust in this area of the sky.

Another reason I wanted to image this was to see how much integration it would take on a really really faint target. In the original subs nothing could be seen. Only after integration was I able to start making out these features. Even then it's tough to bring from the background.

I'm really looking forward to pointing this widefield setup towards extremely dim targets such as the Squid. This thing is a little photon vacuum!
