Description

This image was meant just as a test of the Astrotracer function of the Pentax K3ii. It worked amazingly good without any mount, just from the tripod. I tested with 1 minute exposures and got round stars. So I shot 90 half minute exposures with a 50 mm macro lens at F/2.8 WITHOUT any mount. I just pointed to Saturn (low in the skies between 15° and 20° inclination) and found a lot of DSOs inkluding Trifid Nebula, Lagoon Nebula, Eagle Nebula and Omega Nebula in the fov.

Saturn is the brightest object in the left part of the image.
