Description

So here is my first light with the QHY268C. After having very nice contact with Jarrett Trezzo (thanks again!) i used photographic mode, Gain 26 and Offset 30 for this image. I am somewhat happy, because my biggest fear was that i would not match the correct distance between the reducer and the chip, but after a bit work it worked really great. Using the CCD-Calculators at astronomy.net i knew my desired pixel scale is 1.72"/pixel and guess what? My images showed 1.72"/pixel after a plate solve via nova.astrometry.net :-) So the stars are well shaped among the whole field -> which is bigger than it was with my ASI294 (see original image for the whole image).

I did not use any sort of IR-cutoff filter. I know that this is not ideal for telescopes containing any sort of lenses, but i did it anyway to check all distances work well without any filter-component.

There was just one strange thing i want to take a closer look at in the future: The background was very bright, way brighter than it was with the ASI. And (maybe related) the histogram also looked a bit strange (see at images C & D, histo from a sub). What are these spikes to the left? I am pretty sure that the histo didn't look like this with my ASI.
