Description

Here is another Milky Way image - this one taken at the cabin at Manigotagan, MB at about 10:30 pm, right on the beach in front of the cabin, across from Black Island. 150 second exposure, ISO 800, Canon 60D modified.

In this image you can see the thick dust lanes and pockets that run through the core. They obscure a lot of what we can see as we peer into the central axis of our own galaxy. If all that dust wasn't there, the brilliance of the stars would be enhanced.

Just a single sub, no flats or darks.
