SH2-171 ( NGC7822 / CED 214)
This nebula complex is a nebula region in the constellation Cepheus, around 3000 lightyears away from earth.
The NGC 7822 / CED214, is a known star forming region, and shows in the image as the blue(ish) OIII rich nebulosity in this huge nebula complex designated a number SH2-171 in the Sharpless Catalog.
I tried several ways in Pi to process this image, and eventually landed on a mix of two different results.
This image is a dèjavu for me, and I knew all the time that I`d seen this shape somewhere, and by rotating it 90° clockwise I found my answer.
This is actually The Trollface nebula.
This was a long project over 10 nights, stretching from October 6 to October 30.
The first seven nights I only managed to collect from 6 to 36, 180sec. lightframes each nights, but the last three nights I had better conditions with less fog and clouds, and managed to collect 66 , 52 and 171 lightframes.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.

If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
