Description

IC 426, above left in the picture, is a reflection nebula in the constellation Orion. It is believed that Mintaka, the westernmost star in Orion's belt, is the star that illuminates the IC 426.
In the middle we see IC423. Incidentally, in contrast to IC 426, IC 423 is treated as an emission and not as a reflection nebula.
Also shown in the picture is IC424, above IC423, Mintaka, upper right, and Alnilam lower left.
