Description

Imaged Saturn in OSC RGB and IR on the night of September 15, 2021 under average seeing and below average transparency.  The seeing wasn't quite as good as the previous night but still better than usual, although transparency remained below average.  Still some of my better Saturn images of this 'season'.

Imaged with a C8 Evo, ZWO ADC, Baader UV-IR Cut and 685nm IR pass filters, and ZWO ASI224MC. Imaging train was configured to give me ~F/20. Image capture using Firecapture with gain set at 375 and an exposure of 25 ms (for RGB using UV-IR cut filter) and 35 ms (for IR pass filter). Stacking in AutoStakkert3 (best 20% of ~10,000 frames captured over 240 seconds). Color balancing and Wavelet sharpening in Registax6. De-rotated and combined 3 images in Winjupos.
