Description

from my home's terrace here in Austria I can just spot Shaula and Lesath, the stars at the sting of Scorpio. But to take a deeper shot one has to travel south. From the several projects in the vicinity I choose this rather widefield first. The area is so rich in objects: 4 bright emission nebulae (Hummer, Catpaw, Prawn and Firebird), countless open star clusters, dark nebulae - and of course the dense clouds of Milkyway stars. One of my favorites!

Mount was an iO3200 I lent extra for this trip, because mine did not work properly and still doesnt.
