Description

Clavius and the strangely curved series of craters on its 245 km wide floor. Below Clavius are craters Scheiner (left, 110 km) and Blancanus (right, 117 km).

Longomontanus (157 km) is left of Clavius and Magninus (194 km) above it. The youngish Tycho Crater (102 km, estimated 110 million year-old) – one of the brightest spots on the moon with a dramatic system of debris rays – at top.
